on the Of October Alan Devine came into our school to talk to us about public speaking. His two main tips on speaking in public was the "energy and attitude" rule. He taught us how to walk on stage, to come on looking fresh and full of life and to put both feet firmly on the ground and no "twisty legs". He told us to look out at the audience and do the "granny Devine smile" he told us one thing a lot of people do is they do not make eye contact with the audience.this is a key part of any speaking because it shows your engaging with the audience. After break we played a game to help our memory and to keep focused. Some of us were very shy so he got us to speak aloud and it made a big difference. We also played another game where we each had to stand up infront of the class and look at each one of them in the eye. This was to help with eye contact and engagement. When Adam left I felt like I was way more confident in myself and I'm standing up in front of crowds and groups then I did before he came.
