On the 6th and 7th of September , Agatha and Jeffery Allen teachers of fitness and nutrition came into talk to us about their experience with food and fitness. they taught us all they new about how to live a healthy life.
Jeffery spoke about his acheivments in life and what he had to do to get to where he is now. he brought us outside to complete a series of games called the 'the hunter games'. his idea for these games were to live like the hunter did - a healthy easy life. each day we had to complete a series of these games - the elimanator , knock out and tug of war. these gave Jefferey a clear view of what each of our fitness levels were like. the second day we completed the shuttle run, group relay and the final relay race.
he also split us into groups for these games - camouflage , pink and the grey team. each group had a mix of boys and girls and we all had to participate. he thought us how to work as a team by doing team building excercise's with us.
Agatha , a food nutritionist spoke about healthy diets and what we should be eating before playing sports e.g. training. she also gave us frightening information about deadly chemicals that are in some of the foods we eat like MSG.
I found Jeffery's acheivements in life and his motivation very inspiring. Agatha's speech on food was very good as it made me aware of what ingredients I should look out for in foods and foods to eat to sustain a healthy and balanced diet.
overall I really gained a lot of knowledge from Agatha's and Jeffery's visit. and I enjoyed the healthy fitness programme.
